Larry Bird Biography

Top dunkers in NBA history
There was a story I once heard as a child many years ago about a young man from French Lick Indiana who found his way into his high school gym every night. He wasn't there to cause trouble or meet up with his high school sweetheart. He was there shooting shot after shot with his right hand, and then his left hand.

I can't remember how many shots Larry Bird would take in one night or if this story has any truth, but his dedication to become the best would be the cornerstone of a legendary career. If you watch Larry Legend play you could always feel the intensity and the will to win. But to watch him practice would be like seeing one man, with only one goal.
His desire to win every possession was sweet to watch and made him one of the greatest clutch players in NBA history. The Celtics would become a dynasty once again. Since the departure of some legendary players, Celtics fans were hungry for more championships.

Boston fans are very passionate when it comes to there sports teams. Just like they would fight over Red Sox tickets, Boston fans in the 80's saw green all winter long. Who knew drafting a young white kid from Indiana would be the piece this franchise needed. The 80's would be nothing without Larry Legend.
With Magic Johnson on the other coast making a name for himself Bird took on the challenge every year, and most times came out on top. Unlike Larry bird college game when he had a sub par matchup against Magic and his Michigan State Spartans the NBA brought great things.  A man who's sole purpose was to win every battle. Intensity wasn't just another word in a sports article, it was a way of life and the path to legendary status. To watch Larry Bird play was like watching an awkward farm boy reaching for that corn husk that only a few would be able to touch.
In this Larrry Bird biography I will be discussing the only NBA icon to have legend in his name. Larry Legend was just that, a legend. Not only did he play for one of the greatest sports franchises in NBA history, he became the leader of one of the greatest dynastys in sports. In the early 80's Larry Bird stats quickly made him a leader for a Celtics team and a legend in a league starving for the next big thing.
